About Lisa

Hi I'm Lisa - mum of 2 girls (with 20 years age gap!)  and full time yoga teacher.  You'll find my style inclusive, fun loving and accessible although I will always challenge you to your fullest potential!


I'm now in my 50's and fitter, healthier and calmer than ever and I put it down to yoga.  I am passionate about passing on my enthusiasm and love for yoga - with the many benefits it brings to mind, body and soul. The ancient techniques and philosophy are part of every session and can transform your life.

I have been practicing yoga since 2001 and teaching since 2013 and enjoy teaching many forms of hatha yoga including physial postures (asana) pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.


I am also a qualified pregnancy, special

needs, children's and baby yoga teacher.

I am fully insured and DBS (CRB) checked (enhanced level).


I have trained with some of the best yoga teachers in the UK and India including Meghan Curry, John Scott, Doug Swenson, Liz Lark, Dylan Werner but the best teacher is ourselves.

About Yoga

Yoga originated in India thousands of years ago. Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’ which literally means to integrate or unite. Yoga is said to be the union of the universal consciousness.

The ancient yogis of India believed that if man had to be at peace with himself as well as with this surroundings, he had to be able to unite the mind, body and the spirit.  Regular practice of Yoga will build a strong, toned and supple body, improve sleep and fitness, balance and posture and cultivate a calm and focused mind. Lisa's yoga classes always contain physical moved tailored to the style and ability of the students, breath work or pranayama to help energise and relax the body and relaxation /meditation to calm and clear the mind. Yoga is for everyone! no body too stiff, no mind too cluttered... start with a single step on this wonderful journey to well-being. Whether you want to relax and stretch or stand on your head! All are aspects of the yoga practice. 

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Students of all my classes are given options and modifications to make all the classes accessible to them. All classes are open and suitable for beginners but some prefer to come to a personal session or beginners workshop 1st.

Flow Yoga

An more energetic class linking movement to the breath in a flowing series of ‘asanas’ or postures designed to unify breathing and movement. By creating heat and energy flow through the body, this style of yoga increases suppleness and awareness while also building strength and lightness of movement as well as relaxing the mind and the nervous system.

Slow Flow Yoga

It is more relaxed than Flow Yoga but can still be challenging in parts.

Stretch, Relax & Restore

A slow restorative, stretchy and opening  class for those who like their yoga a little more mellow... a combination of restorative, yin and classic hatha yoga poses and stretches. Great for those with injuries or older people or those who just like it more relaxed..

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a very relaxed, very restorative type of yoga. We hold poses for around 5 minutes in a supported and relaxed way using bolsters, pillows, blankets and blocks.  Its extremely relaxing and mediative so helps us slow down. It works on the body using the chinese meridian system so certain poses help certain areas of the body.  It's great for the mind, but also great for the body as it targets fascia and joint health and helps improve flexibility.
