We start with 7 minutes guided meditation but please do continue for as long after to focus on the breath and witness the thoughts. Keep a notepad or paper next to you and note down any insights after the meditation. Ideally do this daily, maybe twice daily but don't worry if you miss a day. Do your best. Also start to observe your thoughts in your day and what triggers them, especially powerful ones and note down them as well. Start to see patterns of how your mind works. Any repetitive thoughts or patterns/tendencies will start to come into your awareness and then you can work to contemplate and learn from these patterns and find more freedom We focus on becoming aware of and mindful of our thoughts. Its the first stage to mastery of the mind to start to understand our mind and how we can observe our thoughts and emotions as sacred teachers to examine how they arise and fall within us, but are not our true nature which is Atman/Purusha which Is always the observer of the thoughts - the witness consciousness
