Yoga Philosophy Course

What is Philosophy?

Philosophy is the systematic study of fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. It's a way of thinking and being that involves critical inquiry, reflection, and the use of reason to explore these concepts and ultimately deepen our understanding.and find emotional freedom.

These foundational Yoga Philosophy sessions offer an accessible introduction to the key teachings from the spiritual heart of yoga beyond the physical practice.

Through discussion, practical application and reflection, these sessions will illuminate core concepts. Designed for curious practitioners this course provides a meaningful framework for understanding how ancient wisdom can guide modern life on and off the mat.

Each month we will discuss key concepts and how it might apply to our daily lives and feedback, discuss and support each other in our growth. There will be short practical real life 'homework' to apply the teachings.
 

​When, where and how 

I am offering a series of monthly meet ups for 90 minutes on a Friday evening on zoom,  for an initial 4 months block (September-December) . We plan to continue monthly thereafter.

 

We strongly urge participants to join the sessions live each month, as part of each session will include interactive exploration of how the teachings can be used in our day to day life and feedback from the previous months insights. However, recordings of the session will be made available afterwards.

Between the sessions there will be short, achievable optional tasks for you to make the most of applying the teachings to daily life. 

Joining this course, you will get access to a specific online support group for questions and insights between classes as well as access to our course 'portal' which will give you simple suggested additional reading, journalling prompts and awareness exercises.

Student love...

I love my yoga classes with Lisa! I do the morning classes online and it feels like I’m in the room with the rest of the class but without having to drive. 
I really like the way Lisa mixes it up too, so sometimes it’s a really chill class and other times a bit more challenging although she always gives us options to push ourselves or be kinder to yourself - whatever your level there’s something for everyone.
I also love how she brings her every day experiences into her teaching - it makes you reflect on your own thoughts, decisions and actions ❤️
